Chevrolet design teams worldwide joined together to create a car that adds a new dimension to the traditional saloon. Crisp body lines and a muscular profile deliver all the style of a coupe, while a wider stance improves handling and interior space alike. Aerodynamics have also been taken to a new level, with smooth curves and a steep roof line that not only improve fuel efficiency, but provide a more quiet ride on every type of road surface. Together with signature Chevrolet design features such as swept headlamps and a powerful front grille, Cruze delivers presence and performance unlike any other saloon.

Step inside the Cruze and you’ll discover an elegant cabin equipped with a range of features that elevate refinement and driver control. The dual-cockpit design reflects the performance cars that inspired it, with grained surfaces, soft touch materials and low gloss trim panels adding to the quality feel. A dynamic radio/CD stereo with MP3 line-in jack is standard, LS and LT models also feature audio controls built into the steering wheel to make changing tracks easier. Power windows, adjustable tilt steering and a wealth of clever storage compartments complete the interior, with personal options such as satellite navigation and an electric sliding sunroof available on demand.

Although compact on the outside, the Cruze features a spacious cabin that can seat five adults in style. Leg, head and shoulder room are maximised for rear as well as front passengers, ensuring a relaxing drive no matter how long the journey. A generous 450 litres of boot space make carrying shopping and luggage a breeze, while the 60/40 split rear seats create additional space for longer items. Standard 4-way adjustable front seats also make it easy to find the perfect driving position. Now add air conditioning – with electronic climate control on LT models – and the Cruze offers comfort just as contemporary as its design.

Electronic Stability Control ensures superb balance in all types of road and weather conditions, while cruise control on LT models makes long distance driving a pleasure. Exceptional build quality and a tuned suspension further add to the Cruze’s refined handling while also reducing external noise. When it comes to power, select from a range of engines, each
designed for greater acceleration and fuel efficiency. That includes two 16-valve petrol engines, a 1.6 litre with 113PS or a 1.8 litre capable of 141PS, and two 2.0 litre turbo diesels capable of over 50mpg. Matched to a dynamic 5-speed manual gearbox, or a 6-speed automatic available on all petrol engines.

The Cruze may change the rules of style and comfort, but it takes no chances with your safety. Its high-strength steel structure is among the stiffest in its class, providing a solid foundation for all-round protection. A total of six airbags – driver and passenger front airbags, plus head and side airbags – elevate safety for all occupants. Children are given extra security via ISOFIX child seat mounts in both outer rear seats. Antilock brakes are of course standard but, unusually for a car in this price range, so is Electronic Stability Control (ESC). If the vehicle starts to slide ESC automatically applies corrective braking to the appropriate wheel or wheels to help you quickly regain control.
