Beneath the elegant flow of the Bravo’s bodywork, you’ll find a sophisticated heart: one of its powerful range of engines. There are four turbodiesels; two 1.6 16v MultiJet versions, producing 105 (also available in ECO) and 120 bhp, the 1.9 16v MultiJet producing 150 bhp, and the new 2.0 16v MultiJet which produces 165 bhp. The three petrol engines include a 1.4 16v with 90 bhp and two versions of the 1.4 16v T-Jet, producing 120 or 150 bhp. Whichever option you choose you will enjoy a balance of performance, economy, reliability and low emissions. New manual or robotised manual (Dualogic) 6-speed gearboxes, featuring cutting edge technology deliver light smooth changes, refinement and the durability to handle high engine torque. In other words, they’re an efficient match for powerful, smooth engines.

The Bravo leads the way for active and passive safety. It surrounds you with protective measures fine-tuned during thousands of hours of engineering studies, tests and simulations. Intelligent protection comes from the Smart Airbag 2 system, which features adaptive firing perimeters, head protecting window bags and side bags in the seat backs plus the Isofix attachments on the rear seats, and the de-activation of the front passenger airbag by the onboard computer for absolute protection of children. The Bravo also features three-point seat belts with pretensioners and load limiters, five headrests and the Fire Prevention System (FPS).

Stopping power is highly advanced, thanks to an ABS system with optional ESP (Electronic Stability Program) and EBD (Electronic Brake Force Distribution). The ESP monitors vehicle stability continually and keeps you in complete control during sudden manoeuvres. This technology is also linked to further safety features, such as Hill Holder for secure uphill starts, HBA for enhanced braking performance in emergencies, plus the ASR/MSR antiskid system. Optional Tyre Pressure Monitor System (TPMS) and Departure Lane Warning System complete this long list of advanced safety features. In short, you’re getting class beating all-round safety.

You’ll find innovations everywhere in the Bravo, helping you to keep in touch and travel in perfect comfort on each and every journey. Using voice control or the steering wheel mounted controls, the Fiat Blue&Me system accommodates Bluetooth mobile phones and MP3, WAV or WMA digital music players, so you can select your entertainment and keep your hands on the steering wheel. Choosing songs is easy using the clear dash-mounted display. Dualogic, the robotised gearbox, can be used as an automatic to enhance driving comfort further, especially in urban traffic. So relax, adjust the dual-zone climate control and let the cruise control, parking, rain and dusk sensors adapt the Bravo effortlessly to conditions outside.
