Comfort and space get pride of place in Freelander 2. The seats provide excellent support and durability: six-way adjustment is standard for the driver, with optional electric control seat memory. Everyone gets superb leg, head and shoulder room, as well as a clear view thanks to tiered ‘stadium’ seating. A 60/40 split rear seat makes for versatile loadspace, but even when it’s raised there’s plenty of room for loads.
The versatile rear loadspace can be expanded by folding the split rear seats to provide a flat load floor – and up to 1,670 litres of space. It includes a capacious glove-box and generous front and rear door bins with 1-litre bottle storage holders, plus two extra cup holders. With one metre between the wheel arches there’s always room for those awkward loads.
Relax as your Land Rover Navigation system guides you away from traffic and towards your destination. The optional, easy-to-use DVD satellite navigation makes finding your destination or the nearest filling station really straightforward. A combination of voice guidance, map display and text instructions tell you where you are, where you are going and how to get there.

Freelander 2 is one of the most complete vehicles in its class. Exceptional off-road, it’s as refined as a premium saloon car on road. The independent suspension with long wheel travel, coupled with the exceptionally stiff body structure, delivers agile handling with outstanding ride comfort.
The 2.2 litre TD4 Turbo Diesel engine (160hp) is smooth and refined. The standard manual transmission now incorporates an intelligent Stop/Start system denoted by the TD4_e badge on the rear of the vehicle. It is the most fuel-efficient Land Rover to date, delivering a much improved combined average fuel consumption of 42.2 mpg (6.7 l/100km).
