The latest CLS-Class incorporates several new features to enhance its elegant styling. There’s a redesigned radiator grille with two louvres and a sporty new air intake grille. And the rear bumper has been re-sculpted to accommodate new trapezoidal-shaped exhaust pipes.
In addition, the exterior mirrors are now even more aerodynamic and feature a striking new indicator design. The car is also equipped with striking LED brake lights as standard.
Intelligent, ergonomic design and high-quality materials are hallmarks of the new CLS-Class interior. Comfort levels are second-to-none, with front seats featuring full electric adjustment. Meanwhile, rear passengers enjoy highly supportive seating and generous amounts of space.
All-new additions to the CLS-Class cabin include a redesigned instrument cluster displaying sporty white dials with black lettering. Drivers will also enjoy the new-look 3-spoke multi-function steering wheel. Fitted as standard, it’s trimmed in leather for an extra touch of luxury.
The centre console emphasises the highly elegant and sporty character of the interior extending from the dashboard right the way through to the rear of the passenger compartment.
The console is finished in either Silk Matt Burr Walnut or optional Chestnut wood all with a chrome border. The gear lever gaiter is finished in leather with a peripheral double lap seam, further adding to the high quality appearance.
The sweeping lines of the new CLS-Class suggest a car with exceptional aerodynamic performance – and it doesn’t disappoint.
Every element of the bodywork has been designed with aerodynamics in mind – including the eye-catching new exterior mirrors. Other key features include contoured front and rear aprons, and a bonnet that minimises drag over the wipers. Models with AirMATIC Dual Control can even lower the suspension at high speeds to further reduce resistance.
The result is an outstanding drag coefficient of just 0.30, and a uniquely smooth, quiet driving experience.
